Therefore any company offering the Hoodia plant in a capsule or liquid should be able to show you their CITES certificate. A CITES certificate is not just a way to know you are getting genuine Hoodia, but also protects the environment and ensures that the impoverished Sans Bushmen who were the first to discover the Hoodia plant are getting their well deserved royalties from its sale.
